Subject: NTR Walkthrough & Comments Date: Wed, 03 Mar 1999 12:13:48 -0800 From: bone_fone@hotmail.com (Fone Bone) Organization: http://www.remarq.com: The World's Usenet/Discussions Start Here Newsgroups: alt.games.xtrek The walkthrough is further down, but some comments and a rant first... NTR is a fragment of a complete game. It has a lot of potential but doesn't exploit it all. For example, when I saw 7 of 9 and thought: "Whoohoo!", but she just stands there, man... Still, there are two action scenes and one passive scene in the game. A further frustration: the help files are just plain wrong. Don't try to figure the game out with them; it just won't work. I only solved the game after looking at the agtout dump. Use the commands below verbatim. The holodeck sequence in particular is very obtuse. Save often: there are two very tight time limits in the game after which you can't fool around anymore. Also, you will not be able to do everything in the time you've got. You just have to restore from the start of a scene to try something else. Save points are suggested in the text. Finally, what's the big thing with AGT? Of all the major systems out there it has to be about the suckiest to play. Even agility (see: ftp://ftp.gmd.de/programming/agt/agility/) doesn't really help that much. C'mon guys, AGT is dead. Stick a fork in it. Even its authors agree that it's not worth maintaining any more. Look at TADS or Inform instead. It's *MUCH* easier to write a game of any size either of those two languages anyway. Libraries even exist to make your lives easier. Scarlet Herring has released his Moist actors libs and the Inform contrib directory has many useful modules including better actors and a clothing library. Hugo's a nice system too, although I've never written anything with it personally. So give up AGT guys. It's a pig of a system and besides, it can only really be played under MS-DOS anyway. Anyway, enough frothing at the mouth. Let the game begin! You start on the bridge. Go to your (Paris') quarters: >s. deck 2. s. w. Paris's Living Room is the only place you can check your mail. Fortunatly, it also has a terminal. > access terminal > access general-help The computer provides you with General Information on the Starship Voyager and its systems. Don't put a 'p' on the end.] The Computer provides you with help pertaining to the Transporter system. Matter/Energy Conversion based Transport system, Starfleet Mark 9 WARNING : Use of this device by Untrained personnel is Prohibited. Correct Procedure for using a Transporter system : 1 - SET the destination coordinates 2 - STEP on the Transporter Pads 3 - Tell the Operator or Computer to ENERGIZE Transporter system can be access for emergency use in Yellow or Red alert situations by commanding the computer, over an open commline, COMPUTER, EMERGENCY TRANSPORT or for group transports COMPUTER, MULTIPLE TRANSPORTS See Transport Console for More information on Ships Transport Coordinates. Frankly, these functions don't work as the help files describe them. For example, to check your mail, you need to be in Paris' Living Room, then: > examine mail > read mail Elisa is Lt. Mendasa. She spends her time prowling the lower decks. The maps below show her beat. Find her (on move 9 she is in the north turbolift on deck 2), then: > ask mendasa about disc Now, go to Holodeck 2 > access specs > read disc > begin playback > computer, create cell > computer, create leia Save here. Now you can have your way with the princess: > kiss leia > strip leia > boff leia. [and a few times more...] > boff mouth. again. > titfuck leia. again. again. again. > buttfuck leia. g. g. g. g. g. Just before you "finish", if you want that "pro" experience: > jerkoff leia on leia I know, it makes no sense to me either All done. > arch > save program > end program Save again. Find Mendasa, then: > tell mendasa about program Hussle back to your living room: > access terminal > access holodeck This can be tricky. You only have until turn 75 before the captain calls you to the bridge. Save often. If you have extra time, you can go back to the holodeck... When called to the bridge, wait until the captain orders your to plot a course then: > plot course > plot course There's no rush, you can take your time getting to the shuttle bay. You can even stop in at the holodeck for another quickie with the rebel. Anyway, from the bridge: > s. deck 6. s. s. s. enter shuttle. To see the shuttle status: > read controls Get the shuttle going: > open doors > access controls > pilot shuttle > set course for comet > engage Now, you've got 25 turns with Torres. Save, because there isn't enough time to cover all the possibilities. Some suggestions: > kiss torres > feel legs > feel ass > feel breasts > massage breasts > undress torres > remove uniform > feel ass > massage breasts > torres, blow me [a few times] > eat torres > boff torres [a few times] > boff tits > boff ass and, of course: > jerkoff torres on torres I still don't understand what this is supposed to mean. When you get to the comet: > scan comet > transport sample > set course for voyager > engage This gets you dead, but from my reading of the source dump, there is no other way to end the game. Yes, the game ends in the middle of a word. You can transport yourself back to voyager: >computer, multiple transport but nothing of significance happens after that point. ***********Maps Locations marked with an asterisk (*) have terminals, i.e., you can "access terminal" in these rooms. Lt. Elisa Mendasa's Patrol route is marked with capital letters on decks two and four. She waits a turn between moves.
